2018 began with the fantastic news that Joy Cowley had been awarded New Zealand's top honour, becoming a Member of the Order of New Zealand. January got even better with the announcement that Joy Cowley had been short-listed for the Hans Christian Anderson award, the top international award for children's literature that is given out every two years. Congratulations, Joy!
